Scheduled Benefit Cancer Insurance

The Scheduled Benefit Cancer Policy from Loyal American Life Insurance Company is considered the "traditional" cancer insurance product, providing inside limits on hospital confinement, medical expenses, transportation and lodging. Optional riders are available for surgery and anesthesia, radiation and chemotherapy, blood plasma and blood components, hospital intensive care, first occurrence benefits, and specified diseases. The policy also includes a waiver of premium benefit.

Other Scheduled Benefit Cancer policy features include:
  • Issue Age: 18-74 (Attained Age). Maximum issue age is 64 for CA and NC
  • Guaranteed renewable
  • Wellness Benefit charges not to exceed $50 per year (30-day waiting period)
  • Coverage Type: Individual, Single-parent family, Family
  • Two year pre-existing conditions exclusion
First Occurrence Cancer Insurance with Critical Illness Rider

Loyal American Life’s First Occurrence Cancer Insurance may be purchased in units of $5,000, up to $100,000 maximum coverage, and provides a lump sum benefit upon the first diagnosis of a listed covered disease after the policy effective date. This policy also has optional riders that can extend the coverage beyond cancer to cover heart attack, stroke, major organ transplant, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, or renal failure.

Other First Occurrence Cancer Insurance policy features include:

  • Issue Age: 18-64 (attained age)
  • Guaranteed renewable
  • Optional Wellness Benefit available to cover charges not to exceed $50 per year (90-daywaiting period)
  • Coverage Type: Individual, Single-parent family, Family
  • The base policy is a lump sum cancer policy.
  • Two year pre-existing condition exclusion on cancer coverage

 

First Diagnosis Heart Attack and First Major Heart Surgery Policy

The First Diagnosis Heart Attack and First Major Heart Surgery Policy offered by Loyal American Life Insurance Company provides a lump sum benefit upon first diagnosis of heart attack and 20% of chosen face amount for first major heart surgery. Benefits are available from $10,000 to $50,000.

Other features include:

  • Issue Age: 18-64
  • Guaranteed renewable for life
  • Dependent children are covered to age 21, unless they are enrolled as a full-time student, then coverage is extended to age 25 or until date of marriage.
  • Coverage Type: Individual, Single-parent family, Family
  • This policy has a 60 day waiting period
  • Either spouse on a family plan may be the primary insured, but the premiums will be based on the age of the oldest insured
